Sperm Staining Solution (Diff-Quik Method)
Description
CARIAD Sperm Staining Solution, based on the Diff-Quik Method, is designed for sperm morphology staining analysis. (Differential quick Stain).
A simple stain for review of chromatin integrity.
Proteins with different isoelectric points in spermatozoon and cells carry different charges under the same pH and thus they will selectively bind to different stains.
Diff Quick Protocols can be varied to enable better species specific staining - please contact us for species specific guidance.
Description
This staining solution facilitates the quantitative evaluation of both normal and abnormal sperm forms within an ejaculate. Incorporating eosinophilic xanthene and basophilic thiazine stains, it is particularly suitable for CASA (Computer-Assisted Sperm Analysis)
This method is endorsed by the WHO for swift semen staining procedures.

Eosin (acid stain) binds red. Alkaline carboxyl binds with alkaline stain (Methylene) to stain blue and Neutrophil proteins bind to both stains and appear mauve.

With a shelf life of 12 months at room temperature and is valid for 3 months after opening
